To serve four, you can mix the 2 packs together, or persuade everyone to make their own pizza.
It’s easy to get creative: make faces or Christmas baubles on circles, or shape the dough into Valentine hearts, Hallowe’en bats, a Catherine wheel… and be artistic with your favourite toppings.
Before you can say ‘pronto’, the aroma of freshly-baked pizza will signal the start of an Italian feast!
Pre-heat the oven to 230ºC and oil baking trays to hold four 20cm (8”) pizzas.
For each pack:
empty the Italian ‘00’ Flour Dough sachet into a bowl and add 120ml per pack of cold water or milk (per pack) and 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil (per pack). Mix with a fork, then the fun part: use fingers to transform it from a sticky mass to a smooth Italian Pizza Dough.
Lightly knead the Dough for a minute or two until it is smooth.
Divide the Dough into 2 equal pieces (or 4 if doing both packs together) and roughly roll or pull the dough into any shape you like, about half a centimetre thick, then place on the oiled baking trays.
Spread the Tomato Sauce on top and sprinkle the oregano over the sauce.
At this point, if you want to, you can add your own toppings such as grated cheese, ham, pepper, sliced mushrooms… your favourites, in whatever design you like!
Bake the pizzas in the centre of the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown and ready to enjoy. No need to resist any longer – just go ahead… although if you use cheese, do give it a moment to cool before eating.
